Hundreds of students, along with thirty organizations and various community leaders, attended the August 30th Youth Empowerment Caucus on the campus of the University of Arizona. Presented by the Arizona Student Association, the event focused on registering students to vote, educating them on issues that directly impact them, and activating them as volunteers for local organizations.
Afterwards, a community roundtable with elected officials and candidates running for office met with students answering their questions and addressing their concerns on a wide range of topics. This event was a resounding success. So much so that another is planned in the very near future.
