Secretary
Kate has had a lifelong connection to nature, with her earliest memory being one of chasing “flutterbies”. As an adult, she has been passionate about camping, gardening, recycling, and personal action such as installing solar and rainwater harvesting on two of her homes. After a career split between social work and long-haul trucking, she became a member of the Tucson Audubon Society, a River Monitor for the Watershed Management Group, and chair her local church’s Green Team, as well as a member of the regional Methodist EarthCare team. After recently completing her training as a Climate Reality Leader (Al Gore’s group), she continues to educate herself by following environmental podcasts, newsletters, and webinars, with a special focus on climate solutions.
